Mark Lawrenson states his prediction for Tottenham v Liverpool
The Liverpool legend is tipping Tottenham Hotspur to settle for a 1-1 draw with Jurgen Klopp's side at White Hart Lane on Sunday

Mark Lawrenson is backing Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool to share the spoils at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs battled to a 1-1 draw with Champions League holders Real Madrid at The Bernabeu on Tuesday night after Cristiano Ronaldo’s penalty cancelled out Raphael Varane’s own goal.
Tottenham are in third place in the Premier League table after going six games unbeaten in the top flight since a 2-1 loss to defending champions Chelsea in August.
Liverpool were record 7-0 winners against Maribor in the Champions League on Tuesday night to hoist themselves to the top of their group ahead of Spartak Moscow and Sevilla.
The Reds have drawn their last two Premier League games with Newcastle United and Manchester United to leave their title prospects looking relatively bleak.
Former Liverpool defender Lawrenson believes Jurgen Klopp’s side will settle for a third successive stalemate at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday.
“It has been a good week for Tottenham, who broke their Wembley hoodoo in the Premier League by beating Bournemouth, and were very good against Real in their draw in Madrid in the Champions League,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.
“Liverpool enjoyed themselves against Maribor on Tuesday but this is obviously going to be a much tougher game for them.
“It is going to be close. I can see the Reds scoring, but I don’t see them keeping Spurs out.”
Liverpool signed four players in the summer transfer window in an attempt to improve their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League.
Spurs finished in second place in the Premier League table last season and seven points behind eventual champions Chelsea.
