Gary Neville believes Manchester United have a huge opportunity to recapture their title momentum when Jose Mourinho’s side host Tottenham Hotspur next weekend.

The Red Devils suffered a surprise 2-1 loss to Huddersfield Town at the John Smith Stadium on Saturday afternoon following first-half goals from Aaron Mooy and Laurent Depoitre.

Manchester United were unbeaten heading to Huddersfield after previously dropping points in a goalless stalemate with Liverpool at Anfield and a 2-2 draw with Stoke City back in September.

The 20-time English champions have still scored a respectable 22 goals and have kept six clean sheets in their opening nine games in the 2017-18 Premier League season.

Tottenham were 4-1 winners against Liverpool at Anfield last weekend as Harry Kane scored two goals as well as Dele Alli and Son Hueng-Min finding the net at Wembley.

Former Manchester United defender Neville warned Manchester United that next weekend’s trip to Tottenham is a huge opportunity to put things right after the shock result at Huddersfield.

“It’s a bad loss,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“Saturday is now a huge game for United to get back on their bike after falling off.”

Manchester United are looking to win the Premier League title for the first time since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson guided the Red Devils to their 20th top-flight crown.

Mourinho signed four players in the summer transfer window.
