Jose Mourinho confirms Man United star will return for Tottenham clash
The Manchester United manager confirms Phil Jones will return for their Premier League clash at Tottenham

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Phil Jones will return to the Manchester United team for the trip to Tottenham Hotspur next weekend.
The Red Devils will be looking to return to winning ways at Wembley on Saturday afternoon following a surprise 2-1 loss to Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium last weekend.
Manchester United produced a poor performance to slump to a first defeat of the Premier League season against the promoted side to leave Jose Mourinho’s men five points off behind Manchester City.
Jones was forced off in the 23rd minute of the Premier League clash with the scoreline goalless before his replacement Victor Lindelof struggled to cope on his second Premier League appearance.
The England international limped off with a leg injury to rule the centre-half out of contention for Manchester United’s 2-1 win against Swansea City in the League Cup on Tuesday.
Speaking at his post-match media conference, Mourinho confirmed that Jones will be available for Manchester United when the Red Devils make the trip to title rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
“I think Jones will be [ready] because today he told me If I needed him he will be ready,” Mourinho said.
“So he will be even better by Saturday.”
Manchester United signed Jones from Blackburn Rovers in a £16m deal in 2010 after seeing off competition from Liverpool.
Jones has endured an injury-hit career at Manchester United.
