Craig Bellamy is convinced that Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four this season, despite their apparent struggle to get used to life at Wembley.

The Lilywhites have made a mixed start to the new season after having secured a 2-0 victory over Newcastle on the opening weekend of the campaign.

Spurs were then beaten 2-1 by Chelsea at Wembley, before conceding a late equaliser to draw 1-1 with Burnley last weekend.

Tottenham are playing all of their home games at Wembley this season while the new stadium at White Hart Lane is completed.

And despite their apparent struggles at getting used to life at the national stadium, Bellamy is certain that the Lilywhites can finish in the top four this season.

Speaking on The Debate on Sky Sports on Wednesday night, Bellamy said: “I like this Spurs team. There isn’t too much more you need to come into it.

Tottenham were Chelsea’s closest challengers for the Premier League title last season as they ended up second in the table behind Antonio Conte’s champions.

Spurs will take on Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Apoel in the group stage of the Champions League in September as they look to try and challenge for Europe’s top competition under Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham play Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday 9 September in their next Premier League game.
