Paul Merson states his prediction for Tottenham v Southampton
The Arsenal legend warns he can't see anything but three points for Tottenham when Southampton visit on Boxing Day

Paul Merson has admitted that he can’t see anything other than a comfortable Tottenham Hotspur win against Southampton on Boxing Day at Wembley.
Tottenham have collected 13 points from their last five Premier League games to hoist themselves up to fifth place in the table.
Spurs suffered a heavy 4-1 loss to Premier League leaders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last weekend to leave Tottenham 21 points adrift of Pep Guardiola’s men.
However, Harry Kane scored his 35th Premier League goal in 2017 to leave the England star one goal shy of Alan Shearer’s record tally for a calendar year in the north London side’s 3-0 win against Burnley at Turf Moor.
The Saints are sitting in 13th place in the table but sitting a mere three points above the relegation zone to raise questions about Mauricio Pellegrino’s future following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town last time out.
Former Arsenal midfielder Merson is confident Tottenham will ease to resounding win against the Saints at Wembley in the English capital on Boxing Day.
“They absolutely ripped Burnley apart, considering what Burnley have been doing and considering they had not won away from home since September, it was a big result,” Merson told Sky Sports.
“Southampton have gone – no Charlie Austin, no Virgil van Dijk, so I cannot see anything other than a Tottenham win.”
