Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino told to sign 20-year-old striker
Sol Campbell reckons Tottenham should make a summer transfer swoop to sign Moussa Dembele this summer
Sol Campbell has urged Tottenham to make a summer transfer swoop to sign Moussa Dembele from Celtic.
The Spurs boss is bound to be on the lookout for a number of new signings during the off-season as he prepares his team for a return to the Champions League for next season.
Tottenham were Chelsea’s closest challengers for the title this season but fell short at the final hurdle as they were also beaten in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
The Lilywhites are expected to strengthen in the summer as Pochettino looks to assemble a team capable of challenging on four fronts next season.
And former Tottenham defender Campbell reckons Spurs should make bid to try and bring 20-year-old striker Dembele to White Hart Lane this summer.
Campbell said in an interview with BetStars: ”Moussa Dembele at Celtic is an exciting forward. He can play anywhere.
“He breaks the line, he’s very good at going forward and dragging defenders into areas where they don’t want to go.
“He’s got a good nous in front of goal as well, so I think he could definitely make a difference to Tottenham as they compete in four competitions next season.”
Tottenham will play all of their home games at Wembley next season as the finishing touches are made to their new stadium at White Hart Lane.
