Tottenham eye 23-year-old Real Madrid playmaker – report
Tottenham would like to sign Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio in the summer transfer window, according to a report

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a potential deal to sign Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet OK Diario!, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino would like to sign the Spain international.
However, the same article states that Tottenham could find it difficult to sign the 23-year-old given that Asensio is happy in the Spanish capital.
According to the same story, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane would be reluctant to sanction the midfielder’s sale in the current transfer window.
Tottenham finished in fourth place in the Premier League table this season after a slight dip in their domestic performances as they continued to progress in Europe.
Pochettino’s men beat German giants Borussia Dortmund and reigning Premier League champions Manchester City to qualify for the Champions League semi-finals.
Tottenham then came from 3-0 down on aggregate to rescue a 3-3 draw with Ajax and qualify for the Champions League final on away goals.
Spurs have never won Europe’s most prestigious cup competition but Pochettino’s side will have to get past Liverpool FC to get their hands on the trophy.
The Lilywhites have finished in the top four in the last four seasons under their Argentinian head coach to highlight their undoubted progress in recent seasons.
