Tottenham favourites to sign 24-year-old ahead of Chelsea FC – report
Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a potential swoop for Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake this summer, according to a report

Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a move to sign Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake as a replacement for Toby Alderweireld, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that Tottenham are interested in a deal to sign the Netherlands international in the summer transfer window but could face competition from Ake’s former club Chelsea FC.
The same article states that Spurs are the favourites to sign Ake despite his previous stint at Chelsea FC after Bournemouth signed the Dutch star in a cut-price £20m swoop in 2017.
According to the same story, the Bournemouth defender could command a transfer fee in the region of £40m if the Cherries decide to sell the 24-year-old this summer.
The Sun go on to add that Ake could be a replacement for Alderweireld, who is being linked with a potential move to Manchester United or Real Madrid.
Tottenham finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to qualify for the Champions League for the fourth successive campaign.
Spurs lost 2-0 to Liverpool FC in the Champions League final to end their season on a disappointing note after goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi sealed a win for the Merseyside outfit in Madrid.
Mauricio Pochettino didn’t sign any players in the 2018 summer transfer window.
