Tottenham transfers: Steve Bruce reveals Michael Dawson stalemate
Tottenham transfers: Steve Bruce admits Hull City's bid for Spurs captain Michael Dawson has reached a 'stalemate'

Steve Bruce reveals that Hull City have reached a “stalemate” in their bid to sign Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson.
The England international endured a mixed season under Andre Villas-Boas and the Portuguese’s successor Tim Sherwood as Spurs failed to secure a top-four finish.
Tottenham appointed Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager in May and the Argentine is expected to give Spurs a face-lift after a disappointing season.

Dawson, who has two years remaining on his current deal, has been linked with Hull and newly-promoted Queens Park Rangers.
However, Bruce revealed that the Tigers are struggling to come up with a satisfactory deal to sign the experienced centre-half.
“It’s stalemate with regard to Michael and, at the moment, we are probably as far away from a deal as we can be,” Bruce said.
“Michael I’ve always liked, there’s no disputing that.
“But at the end of the day, he’s Tottenham’s captain with time left on his contract.
“It’s difficult, but it’s something we’ve had a nibble at. We’ll see if it happens.”
Dawson has scored seven goals in 237 Premier League appearances for Spurs since moving to White Hart Lane from Nottingham Forest in 2004.
