Video: Arsenal centre-half Calum Chambers rises to Jack Wilshere's 'Uppies for Austism Challenge'
Calum Chambers has risen to Jack Wilshere’s “Uppies for Austism Challenge”, nominating fellow Arsenal team-mates Wojciech Szczesny and Danny Welbeck.
Arsenal midfielder Wilshere raised awareness about autism on Facebook last week, attempting to raise funds for his friend Billy Tommey.
And Chambers, who joined the Gunners from Southampton this summer, posted a clip of his challenge on Instagram on Monday morning.
“Thanks for the nomination @jackwilshere I nominate @wojciechszczesny1 Danny welbeck @nathaniel_clyne and @harrisonreed don’t forget to nominate! Let’s give autism a chance!!” Chambers wrote.
And the England international was quick to nominate Arsenal duo Chambers and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, as well as Manchester United legend David Beckham.
Wilshere posted: “I have just been challenged by my friend Billy…..my response is coming!
“Here it is…[email protected]_OxChambo @CalumChambers95 @Mo_Farah and #DavidBeckham good luck! https://t.co/m1HmNzaPer #UppiesForAutism”
Whilst the Ice Bucket Challenge for MS went viral on social media last month, Chambers and Wilshere have done their bit to raise awarenessm about autism.
The Arsenal pair featured in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby on Sunday as Oxlade-Chamberlain cancelled out Nacer Chadli’s opener.
