Michael Owen states his prediction for Watford v Arsenal
The Liverpool legend is backing Watford to get at least a draw with Arsenal at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening
Michael Owen is tipping Arsenal to drop points at Watford in the Premier League at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening.
The Gunners went unbeaten in September to get their Premier League campaign back on track with three victories and one stalemate.
Arsenal battled to a goalless draw with defending Premier League champions Chelsea in their last away game to end their losing run on the road.
Arsene Wenger’s side were heavily criticised for a woeful performance in a 4-0 loss to top-four rivals Liverpool at Anfield a week after a 1-0 defeat at Stoke City.
Arsenal are in fifth place in the Premier League table and six points behind current leaders Manchester City and Manchester United.
Watford have made a decent start to the campaign following three wins and three draws in their opening seven Premier League appearances.
Former Liverpool striker Owen is tipping Watford to at least get a point from the visit of Arsenal at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening.
“Arsenal haven’t scored on the road in their three PL games so far this term and, whilst I think they will find the back of the Watford net, I think they might have to settle for a point at Vicarage Road against a progressive Hornets’ side,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Watford are another side with a better record away from home so far this season, but Marco Silva is a manager I have a lot of time for and I expect the hosts to get at least a point against the Gunners.”
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to end up outside the Champions League qualification spots.
The Gunners signed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac in the summer transfer window.
