Arsene Wenger delivered more bad news to Arsenal fans after Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Swansea City by revealing that none of the Gunners’ key absentees are close to a return from injury.

Wenger watched his side’s title hopes take another blow as Mathieu Flamini’s last-minute own-goal earned the Swans a point at Emirates Stadium and left Arsenal fourth in the table and six points behind leaders Chelsea.

And the Frenchman revealed that none of Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Laurent Koscielny are close to returning to action.

“None of them are close to coming back,” replied Wenger when asked about the four players’ progress.

“Koscielny is out for a while. After that Ozil, I don’t know but at least two or three weeks. Ramsey is perhaps the closest. He is two weeks maybe.”

Wenger admitted that Arsenal must focus on improving their results and cementing their top-four spot before daring to think of a late title charge.

“Everton won, so we have to focus and prepare well for the next game,” he said.

“It will be open until the end but you can still have surprises as well. Man City had a good result tonight, they look a bit unstoppable.

” They are favourites as they have two games in hand – them and Chelsea are favourites now for the title.

“We have not too much room to come back into it, but we have to get some players back. It is difficult to fight with half the team out.”
