Nicklas Bendtner has recovered from an ankle injury and is available for Arsenal’s FA Cup clash with Coventry City on Friday, Arsene Wenger has confirmed.

The 25-year-old Denmark striker has not featured since picking up the problem in the process of scoring the Gunners’ opener in the 2-0 win over Cardiff City on New Year’s Day.

The Arsenal boss also confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is fully fit following his lengthy lay-off with a knee problem, but midfielders Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky all remain sidelined.

“Bendtner has been back in the squad since the start of the week and he’s available if selected,” said Wenger ahead of the fourth-round match.

“Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey join the squad on Monday, they are not available for Friday’s game. We lost as well Rosicky, he’s not available.

“We have just had Oxlade-Chamberlain back, Bendtner back, I hope to have Arteta back next week and Ramsey.

“We also have Yaya Sanogo coming back into the squad next week.”
