Wenger gives latest Arsenal injury update ahead of Sunderland test
Kieran Gibbs will sit out Arsenal's clash against Sunderland on Saturday but Mikel Arteta is back available

Kieran Gibbs has been ruled out of Arsenal’s clash with Sunderland on Saturday due to the hamstring injury he suffered against Bayern Munich.
The England international was replaced by Nacho Monreal in the first half of the 2-0 Champions League defeat at Emirates Stadium and Arsene Wenger confirmed that the left-back would miss the visit of the Black Cats.

Wenger also revealed that he is likely to restore striker Olivier Giroud back to his starting line-up after the France international was rested in midweek as Yaya Sanogo started up front.
“There will certainly be changes for tomorrow, that’s for sure. How many? I don’t know yet. I will decide after training today,” said Wenger.
“Kieran Gibbs is out of course and no one else is back apart from Mikel Arteta, who is back from suspension.”
“It is likely that Giroud will be involved tomorrow. Resting him was part of a refreshment plan.”
Wenger also urged his side to put the disappointment of Wednesday’s defeat behind them as they look to return to winning ways in the Premier League.
“The players can be proud because they put in a quality performance against Bayern. We just have to get on with it,” he said.
“It’s extremely difficult to adjust every time and it’s physically very demanding. We have fought hard so far in the Premier League and of course now we want to come back and win our home game.”
