Wenger gives latest Arsenal injury update ahead of Tottenham clash
Arsenal are likely to be without Olivier Giroud for the visit of Tottenham on Saturday, says Arsene Wenger

Arsenal are likely to be without Olivier Giroud for Saturday’s clash with Tottenham, manager Arsene Wenger has revealed.
The France international sat out Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Cardiff City with an ankle problem and although has been recovering well, the 27-year-old has been suffering from illness in the build-up to the FA Cup tie.
Wenger also confirmed that striker Nicklas Bendtner is also out of the game after suffering an ankle injury in the process of scoring Arsenal’s opener against Cardiff on New Year’s Day.
“From the last game we lost Bendtner. We don’t know how serious it is, his scan will be assessed today,” said Wenger.
“Giroud’s ankle was quite positive but he was sick overnight and there is 90 per cent chance he will not play.
“It is disappointing that Bendtner got injured [against Cardiff]. He recently found back his best level.”
Wenger also confirmed that left-back Kieran Gibbs (calf) and midfielder Aaron Ramsey (thigh) both remain sidelined.
And club-record signing Mesut Ozil will undergo a test on his shoulder today (Friday) ahead of the visit of the Lilywhites.
“Mesut Ozil has a test today, personally I think he will be short. Kieran Gibbs and Aaron Ramsey remain out,” Wenger added.
