Wenger gives latest Arsenal injury update on Ozil and Bendtner
Arsene Wenger says Mesut Özil is likely to miss Arsenal's FA Cup clash with Tottenham due to a shoulder problem

Arsene Wenger has revealed that Mesut Ozil is likely to miss Arsenal’s FA Cup showdown with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday due to injury.
The Germany international sat out the Gunners’ 2-0 win over Cardiff City on Wednesday as he continues to recover form a minor shoulder injury.
Bendtner said he landed on the foot of a Cardiff player and turned his ankle

And the Arsenal boss is predicting that Ozil will also miss the third-round clash at Emirates Stadium – but the 25-year-old should be fit for the Premier League trip to Aston Villa on 13 January.
“Ozil could be ready for Saturday. It is no big damage, just the pain now,” said Wenger.
“I believe he will be short for Saturday and should be ready for Aston Villa.”
Wenger also confirmed that striker Nicklas Bendtner, who netted Arsenal’s opener against Cardiff, is set to be out for a few weeks after injuring his ankle in Saturday’s win.
“Unfortunately he got injured today and it looks like it is not a question of days, but weeks, with a sprained ankle,” continued the Frenchman. “I am very sad for us, but for him as well.
“Usually he is not a fragile player, he was a bit unlucky. He said he landed on the foot of a Cardiff player and turned his ankle.”
With all of Arsenal’s recognised strikers now out injured, Wenger was asked if Bendtner’s injury would affect his January transfer plans, to which the Frenchman replied: “I don’t know, it doesn’t mean we go straight from Nicklas’ ankle straight to the transfer market. It means that we have Giroud and Bendtner out.”
