West Brom 0 Norwich 2: Chris Hughton hails "super finisher" Gary Hooper after a comfortable win at the Hawthorns
Chris Hughton hailed Gary Hooper as a “super finisher” after the Norwich City striker fired his side to a much-needed victory at West Bromwich Albion.
The Englishman, who joined in a big-money move from SPL champions Celtic in the summer, broke the deadlock with a low-drive in the 13th minute at the Hawthorns.

The Baggies threw caution to the wind in the second half in search of a desperate equaliser as manager Steve Clarke brought on substitutes Shane Long and Saido Berahino all the pitch.
But the Canaries, who hoist themselves into 15th place courtesy of the win, found the net again as Leroy Fer sealed a rare Norwich win on the road in the 89th-minute.
“It was one of those old-fashioned battles,” Hughton told BBC Sport.
“In the end they had four or five forwards and we were able to catch them on the break. It shows character in the side, delighted with the clean sheet.
“Gary [Hooper] is a super finisher and he’s now up to speed with his physical condition. He’s benefitting from a run of games in the team.”
