West Ham 0 Man City 3: Manuel Pellegrini hails a "professional performance" after the Citizens reach the Wembley final
Manuel Pellegrini hailed Manchester City’s professional performance after their second-leg win against West Ham United cemented their spot in the League Cup final.
The Chilean fielded a strong line-up at Upton Park and the move paid dividends as the Citizens were 2-0 up at half-time thanks to goals from Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero.

Spain international Negredo netted his second in the 59th minute to secure a 9-0 aggregate win – and the Citizens will face either Manchester United or Sunderland at Wembley on 2 March.
Asked who he would prefer to face in the final, Pellegrini replied: “It is the same [to me].”
He added: “It was a very professional performance. It was easy to think the game was finished from the 6-0 in the first leg, but it was important to reach the final winning all the games.”
“Wembley is always important. It was important the way we reached the final, winning every game,” Pellegrini continued.
The City manager also gave an update on the fitness of Aguero and Negredo following the semi-final second-leg in east London.
“For Sergio Aguero, it was useful match as he played 60 minutes. For him, it useful for the future,” Pellegrini said.
“Alvaro Negredo has a problem with his shoulder. He just has a pain at the moment, and we will see hope it is tomorrow.”
