Wigan will give ‘everything they’ve got’ at Arsenal, warns Mikel Arteta
Mikel Arteta warns Arsenal that Wigan Athletic will "play for their lives" when they take on the Gunners on Tuesday night

Mikel Arteta has warned Arsenal that Wigan will “play for their lives” when they take on the Gunners at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Latics head into the clash fresh from their FA Cup final triumph over Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday but knowing that anything less than a victory in north London will see them relegated from the Premier League.
Arsenal, meanwhile, need a victory to move back into fourth place ahead of their final Premier League game next weekend.
And midfielder Arteta is braced for a serious test in Tuesday night’s crunch top-flight clash, with Wigan having sealed a 2-1 win at Arsenal in the league last April.
“You never know what the reaction is going to be,” Arteta told Arsenal Player.
“You’re not used to winning so you don’t know what the reaction is going to be because you can’t really compare with the past and the way they reacted.
“They will play for their lives. For them it’s massive to stay in the Premier League. I’m sure they will give everything they’ve got.
“I don’t know how much they’ve got in the tank but whatever they’ve got, they are going to give it. They are a dangerous team as they showed here last year when they played against us.”
