Wimbledon 2015: Roger Federer looking no further than Gilles Simon test
Roger Federer insists he is looking no further than his Wimbledon quarter-final clash with Gilles Simon
Roger Federer insisted that he is looking no further than his quarter-final clash with Gilles Simon at Wimbledon after breezing through to the last eight at the All England Club.
The seven-time champion sealed a comfortable 6-2 6-2 6-3 victory over Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut in the last 16 on Monday to book his place in his 13th Wimbledon quarter-final.
I’m not going to look further than Gilles Simon, who has caused me difficulties in the past

Federer has been in solid form at SW19, but the 33-year-old is now only focusing on taking on Simon in the last eight.
“It’s been a good run now,” said Federer. “I’m happy to be back in the quarters here. This is really when it gets much more interesting, when you can look ahead a little bit without doing that too much because obviously your opponents are going to get tougher and tougher.
“I’m not going to look further than Gilles Simon, who has caused me difficulties in the past. I played him tough in some of the majors, Australia, French Open, we played five sets both times there.
“That’s my focus really right now. But it’s definitely been a good run here and Halle. I hope to keep it up.”
