Winning title would be a bonus for Liverpool, says Kenny Dalglish
Kenny Dalglish believes that winning the title would be a "real bonus" for Liverpool this season

Kenny Dalglish believes that winning the Premier League title would be a “bonus” for Liverpool this season, with Champions League qualification all but secured.
The Reds are top of the Premier League table with five games left to play after having won their last nine top-flight games.
If Liverpool don’t win the title, it will be disappointing

Brendan Rodgers has maintained that Liverpool’s main target this season is to secure a place in the top four and a route back into Europe’s elite club competition.
But with the Merseyside outfit now in with a fantastic chance of ending their 24-year wait for the title, Reds legend Dalglish concedes that it would be a disappointment to miss out on the trophy.
“If Liverpool don’t win the title, it will be disappointing because you’ve got so close and tried to win it – but it’s a fantastic achievement to get in the Champions League,” Dalglish told Liverpool’s website.
“Everybody would love to see us getting in the Champions League, and if they can do it then that would be fantastic. Anything else, over and above that, would be a real bonus.”
Dalglish continued: “The club has got the feeling back that it used to have – and that’s fantastic,” Dalglish, now a non-executive director at Anfield, continued.
“Everybody is in it together, and I think that’s a fantastic asset that has been installed in the players. Brendan has done a fantastic job, bringing them all together and getting them all playing for and with each other.”
