Wojciech Szczesny: My save from Loic Remy’s shot ‘was easy’
Wojciech Szczesny says his save to deny Loic Remy in Arsenal's 1-0 victory at Queens Park Rangers was "not that difficult"

Wojciech Szczesny has claimed that his save to deny Loic Remy in Arsenal’s 1-0 victory at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday was “not that difficult”.
The Poland international earned plenty of praise in the wake of the win at Loftus Road after diving to his left and tipping the Frenchman’s shot round the post in the 83rd minute to prevent the striker from drawing QPR level.
But the Gunners goalkeeper has played down the stop, despite manager Arsene Wenger describing it as “special”.
“I don’t think it was a great save,” Szczesny told Arsenal Player. “There wasn’t a lot of pace on the shot so it was easy to reach.
“It might sound funny but I don’t think it was that difficult a save. A big one in the context of the fight for the top four but I’m not getting too excited.
“I don’t think it’s all about the save – it’s about the team performance. We kept another clean sheet. We’ve not been conceding a lot of goals recently so that’s very important.”
Arsenal are fourth in the Premier League table with two games left to play and Szczesny insists that the manner of the Gunners’ victories do not matter as long as they continue to pick up points.
“I’d settle for another two 1-0s for the rest of the season and a place in the top three,” he added.
“Hopefully we can keep it going. Even if a game like this is boring at times, we couldn’t care less at this time. We just want to get the three points and go back home.”
Arsenal host Wigan in their next Premier League game on 14 May.
