Sky Sports pundit predicts Wolves v Tottenham Hotspur
Charlie Nicholas looks ahead to Tottenham's trip to Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon
Charlie Nicholas is backing Wolves to claim a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs head into the game looking to claim their fourth Premier League win since Jose Mourinho was appointed as the club’s new manager last month.
The north London side have won three and lost one of their four Premier League games since Mourinho was brought in to replace the sacked Mauricio Pochettino.
They head to Molineux to face a Wolves side who have won three of their last five in the Premier League and who have only lost two games all season.
Former Arsenal star Nicholas feels that Wolves will have too much for Mourinho’s men and he is backing the home side to snatch a victory against the north Londoners.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “This is a cracking game.
“Tottenham’s defence is leaking goals, but you could see the delight on Jose Mourinho’s face walking away with a 3-1 defeat at Bayern Munich in midweek.
“Ryan Sessegnon scored the goal which was a positive for him and the team, but nobody played well. He is having to continue the way their habits are. Wolves are unbeaten in 11 which is remarkable from their slow start.
“They have enough in the squad at the moment. – Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez are both in form and they love an open game of football – they do not like having to manipulate the ball.
“I am going to go with an entertaining Wolves win.”
After Sunday’s game, Tottenham will turn their attentions towards preparing for their Premier League showdown with Chelsea FC at home next Sunday afternoon.
They will then host Brighton and Hove Albion on Boxing Day as the hectic festive period begins.
Wolves, meanwhile, will prepare for their trip to Norwich City next weekend in what will be their final Premier League game before Christmas.
