WTA Championships 2013: Serena Williams through to semi-finals
WTA Championships 2013: Serena Williams beats Petra Kvitova 6-2 6-3 to book her place in the semi-finals in Istanbul

Serena Williams eased past Petra Kvitova 6-2 6-3 to book her place in the semi-finals of the WTA Championships in Istanbul.
The 32-year-old world No1 has won all three of her group matches at the season-ending tournament after her victory over the Czech fifth seed.
“When I play top players or a grand slam winner, such as Kvitova, who has such a dangerous game, you’ve got to go in there knowing that anything can happen and I have to be really focused,” said Williams afterwards.
“That was just what I did. I would say my focus is what’s pleasing me most of all.”
Elsewhere, Angelique Kerber beat Agnieszka Radwanska 6-2 6-2 to keep alive her hopes of reaching the last four.
And Li Na is in pole position in the White Group after beating Jelena Jankovic 6-3 2-6 6-3.
“Of course it was tight but at least it is better than the last two years,” said Li. “Now I have one foot in the semis but another foot is still out of the door.
“If I lose easy tomorrow, I already maybe have no chance. So I still have to fight tomorrow.”
