Zlatan Ibrahimovic has dropped a big hint that he will remain at Manchester United striker beyond the end of the 2016-17.

The Red Devils have enjoyed a decent first season under Jose Mourinho after the former Chelsea boss was appointed as Louis van Gaal’s successor back in May.

Ibrahimovic scored twice in Manchester United’s 3-2 win against Southampton at the EFL Cup final at Wembley last month.

The 35-year-old striker has scored 15 goals in 25 appearances in the Premier League but the Red Devils are still four points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.

Manchester United will take on Belgian side Anderlecht in the Europa League last eight in search of a first European trophy since their Champions League success back in 2008.

However, Ibrahimovic appears to feel that he has unfinished business with Manchester United as the striker holds contract negotiations with the 20-time English champions.

“I enjoy. I’m a person when I go into something I put my head 200 per cent, and I do what I’m good at. I go in, I go for the kill and I go out,” Ibrahimovic told The Manchester Evening News.

“And when I go out there is no complaints, that’s what I do. I never leave a job unfinished.

“I always go in, do my job, and in the way that is a fair play, a fair deal, that is what I do.”
