Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Terence Crawford’s massive super-fight will be preceded by two interesting fight cards.

The undisputed super middleweight title showdown on 13 September is the most anticipated event of the year.

Canelo has been involved in some of the biggest fights in the sport’s recent memory, including one against the undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather.

This fight with Crawford is no different, as the pair are set to do battle at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas with pride and legacy on the line for both pound-for-pound stars.

As ‘Bud’ looks to jump up two weight classes to solidify his place in boxing history, other fighters are looking to become the sport’s next superstar.

Boxing financier Turki Alalshikh has stepped up promotion for the fight week and decided to use the eyeballs of the world to showcase upcoming talents in two different cards.

The first takes place on 10 September during the public workouts for the main card on Saturday night, with five bouts scheduled to entertain the Vegas crowd in the Bleaulive Theater at Fontainebleau.

Undefeated flyweight Mikie Tallon features alongside a host of other prospects looking to put on performances to make their names with the contests streamed on YouTube.

A first-ever boxing card hosted by Ring Magazine called ‘The Underdog’ is the inaugural in an apparent series of shows, with this one scheduled for 11 September.

The show has been set up to ‘showcase boxing’s brightest prospects and contenders’ as the WBO world flyweight champion, Anthony Olascuaga, defends his title with the fight available to stream on DAZN.

It joins a fight week complete with grand arrivals on Tuesday, followed by a final press conference and the ceremonial weigh-in.

But Saturday’s main event is not the only one to feature one of this era’s greatest fighters as the undisputed super bantamweight champion, Naoya Inoue, defends his belts against Murodjon Akhmadaliev.

Japan’s undefeated star is looking to make a fifth successful defence of his belts when he faces Akhmadaliev.

MJ is a 2016 Olympic bronze medallist and former unified super bantamweight champion who is looking to regain the belts he lost to former Inoue opponent Marlon Tapales.

If ‘The Monster’ retains his titles, he will move on to a clash with contender David Picasso before a rumoured Japanese super-fight with fellow superstar Junto Nakatani.
