Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will run it back once again after agreeing terms to a rematch.

Eubank Jr claimed victory in the all-British clash by defeating Benn via unanimous decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April.

A date has been pencilled in for the rematch on 20 September, but details of where the fight is are yet to be confirmed.

The initial fight between the two was dramatic outside of the ring as Chris Eubank Snr reunited with his son after an estranged relationship that had been ongoing throughout the last few years.

Despite reconnecting and coming back together, Eubank Jr’s father has made it clear about his feelings on a rematch already.

Chris Eubank opposes the idea of his son’s rematch against Conor Benn

Both the Eubank and Benn families have been at loggerheads with each other for decades, starting with their father’s two fights in the 1990s.

It looked as if the dust had settled once and for all once Jr had got the win and in the aftermath, his dad urged his son not to take the rematch, even going as far to say that he would come out of retirement if he did.

Speaking on his own show, the Call Chris Eubank podcast in May 2025, he said: “What suits Junior, in my view? He doesn’t need to do anything else. He’ll never better than [that] performance. There’s two of us now, there’s nothing we can’t do.

“If you don’t get back into the ring Jr, then neither will I. But if you get back in the ring, I will get back in the ring in some exhibition match.

“I’m going to pressure you. You want to fight again? OK, then I will fight too. Cause I’m with you.”

Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2 set to include controversial clause

Once again, there will be some controversy around the fight after the first details of the proposed weight were revealed.

Ring Magazine has claimed that the pair will fight at the same weight they did last time, a middleweight limit of 160lbs that includes a ten pound rehydration clause on the morning of the fight.

Benn will fight well above his natural weight but after doing it the first time around, the change won’t be as difficult to adjust to.

Eubank Jr will be under pressure once again after he failed to make weight by half an ounce and was fined.
