Jai Opetaia had just one name on his mind after viciously finishing Claudio Squeo.
In front of his adoring fans at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia, the power puncher produced another impressive display.
Showcasing his dynamite hands, the 29-year-old detonated a thunderous shot that sent his opponent crashing towards the canvas.
The Italian couldn’t beat the count, resulting in Opetaia retaining his belt and quickly setting his sights on a unified champion.

Jai Opetaia calls out Gilberto Ramirez
While Jai Opetaia has the same rating as Jake Paul on Undisputed, he certainly doesn’t fight like it, with the Aussie cementing his status as one of the pound-for-pound best in the sport.
Now, he wants to go head-to-head with two-weight world champion, Gilberto Ramirez, who currently holds the WBA and WBO cruiserweight world titles.
In his post-fight interview, he said: “Next fight, ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez, he’s mentioned me, he’s told me he’ll fight me after his mandatory. So, let’s get it on. I’m chasing that belt. Let’s go.
“I’m not here to badmouth him, I’m not here to beat him down or anything like that — he’s not here to defend himself. But the fight is easy to be made, we are ready, whenever you call, we are ready, let’s do it.”
The Mexican returns to action against Yuniel Dorticos on the Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr undercard on June 26, and should he emerge victorious, then a massive unification bout with Opetaia could be on the cards.
Boxing legend says Jai Opetaia can beat Oleksandr Usyk
While Opetaia would love to fight Ramirez, there are plenty of options out there for him.
With the brawler quite possibly the best boxer in his division, some would love to see him go head-to-head with Oleksandr Usyk.
The match-up would pit a master technician against a monstrous puncher in a contest destined to create fireworks.
Interestingly, a former world champion thinks Opetaia could have the edge over Usyk.
