Moses Itauma has the backing of the majority of the boxing world, except for one fighter.
The 20-year-old superstar in the making is expected to beat Dillian Whyte, with those in the industry believing the ‘real deal’ has got what it takes to move on in his heavyweight journey.
Itauma vs Whyte, though, still poses some questions for fans and pundits, especially considering the prospect has only been as far as six rounds in his professional career, leading critics to question his chin.

Brixton’s own has been in there with some of the heavyweight division’s biggest names like Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, with these experiences making him a great name for Moses to have on his 12-0 record.
Undercard fighter predicts Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte big upset, ‘People are writing him off’
While ‘The Body Snatcher’ has been in his own words ‘written off’, he has found support from a boxer competing on the undercard of the August 16th show.
Abraham Nova faces Raymond Ford after the Irish world champion, Anthony Cacace, had to withdraw from defending his world title against Ford due to a back injury.
Now, Nova has a chance to get himself back into the world title picture against the ‘Savage’.
In his interview with IFL TV, ‘El Super’ provided his prediction for the main event.
He said: “That’s a tough one. I haven’t really seen Moses that much at all, but based on the hype, what everybody’s saying, he is expected to win, but I know Dillian Whyte, and I know what he’s capable of doing.
“I know a lot of people are writing him off. So, I’m gonna stick with the underdog, Dillian Whyte. He has the experience. He has the power. I think he could do an upset that night. So, I’m sticking with Dillian Whyte.”
After his loss to Fury and the subsequent pullout of the Joshua rematch due to a positive drug test, of which he was cleared, his three back-to-back wins were at the lower level of the heavyweight scene.
When asked why he was backing the upset victory for the 37-year-old, Nova explained: “If you look at his record, he only lost to the high-quality, best of the best fighters; he’s come back, and I admire that about him.
“I mean that he stays positive. A lot of fighters get one L, two L’s, and they’re done. You don’t hear back from them again.
“But Dillian Whyte keeps coming. He keeps showing his face, and he keeps believing in himself, and you have to respect and admire a fighter like that.”
Moses Itauma reveals a potential fight with another undercard heavyweight next
As the fight is positioned as a stepping stone in the bright future of the Kent boxer, ‘The Wrecking Ball’ has provided a potential glimpse of who he would prefer to take on next.
When asked by an interviewer for Queensberry Promotions about who out of the four heavyweights on the card, Itauma would want to fight next, he said: “Obviously, if I beat Dillian Whyte, me and (Filip) Hrgovic have had some back and forth. It’s up to my promoter and my management.
“But if you are asking me, me vs Hrgovic.”
Filip Hrgovic will square off against British heavyweight David Adeleye in a ten-round fight for the WBO international title.
The Croatian has only lost once as a professional to Daniel Dubois, and with Moses, the number one-ranked WBO fighter, a win for Hrgovic could seal his fate as the star’s next opponent.
