Dividing fan opinion, former world champion, Tyson Fury, has leaked a stunning return from retirement — as soon as next year.

Once more calling time on his boxing career at the beginning of this year, it seems British star Fury still has an itch to compete in the squared circle again.

Taking to social media amid failed talks for a grudge fight with Anthony Joshua, ex-WBC kingpin, Fury claimed he would be hanging up his gloves — for good this time, after a recent faltering run.

Suffering back-to-back decision losses — the first of his career — against Oleksandr Usyk last year, Fury has remained firmly within the sport’s shadows.

Emerging this morning, however, the Morecambe puncher teased a spectacular 2026 return to the ring — against an all-too familiar foe.

Tyson Fury teases 2026 trilogy fight with Oleksandr Usyk

Leaking a shocking post on his social media this morning, former world champion, Fury, appeared to all but confirm his return from his latest retirement.

Targeting a return to action next year, Fury claimed a trilogy bout with Ukraine star, Usyk, was next for him in a showdown at Wembley Stadium, despite suffering two losses to the champion.

“April 18 2026, Wembley Stadium,” Tyson Fury posted on Instagram.. “The trilogy!”

But to say fans are divided on this latest development would be more than an understatement. Particularly as Usyk gears up for his rematch with Daniel Dubois later this month.

Fans blast Tyson Fury ‘pointless’ trilogy fight return

A polarizing figure in the sport, Fury has once more turned heads with his announcement of a retirement u-turn — again, leaving many within the community scratching their collective heads.

“Promoters, please listen to the fans, we are not interested in this,” a user on X posted.

“We have already seen this! We want to see him (Fury) face AJ (Anthony Joshua),” a second commenter wrote.

A third user even claimed Fury had diminished since his trilogy with Deontay Wilder, writing, “As a huge Tyson Fury fan… he should retire. No one wants to see a third [fight]. He fell off after (Deontay) Wilder and it is the long inactivity like this that caused it.”

“Can’t have a trilogy if you lost the first 2,” another user commented.

However, some have made a case for a third fight — given the close nature of Fury’s pair of clashes with Usyk.

“The first 2 fights were so close they could’ve [gone] either way,” a user argued on X.

“I want to see this, but Tyson needs a dust-up beforehand to just sharpen the ring rust. Two masters,” another user speculated.

If he is serious about a return, an April timeline gives Fury more than enough time to at least prepare himself physically for a third fight with the unbeaten megastar, Usyk.
