Like most sports stars, Tyson Fury has interests away from his main love.

Fury is one of heavyweight boxing’s all-time greats and has defeated the likes of Deontay Wilder, Derek Chisora and Dillian Whyte.

The ‘Gypsy King’ also takes a keen interest in football and amid the ongoing crisis at non-league club Morecambe, has been encouraged by high-profile figures to step in and save the club from going extinct.

Residing in Morecambe, Fury has close links to the side, but who does he really support?

Which football team does Tyson Fury support?

It will come as no shock to many that Fury is a fan of Manchester United.

There have been a number of times where he has been spotted at Old Trafford and has declared his love for the club with a series of tweets.

In the past, the ‘Gypsy King’ has criticised the club for poor league campaigns.

While he doesn’t support Morecambe, he has a soft spot for his local side too and even came close to having a hands-on role with the side.

Tyson Fury said he wanted to buy Morecambe in 2022

News earlier this week revealed that Morecambe have been suspended from the National League with immediate effect.

Fury has ties to the club with the Tyson Fury Foundation based at the club’s Mazuma Mobile Stadium, as well as his gym.

He also sponsored the club’s shorts and in 2022, admitted that he was interested in buying them.

“I’m thinking about buying Morecambe Football Club, they’re in League One at the moment,” he told TalkSPORT in 2022.

“I was thinking I invest X amount of millions in them. Basically throw it at them and keep them going up.

“I’ve been offered to buy Morecambe Football Club. I own all the training facilities anyway and the training gym. So who knows?

“You might be looking at a football club owner.”

Nothing ever came to fruition and now, with the side’s very existence at stake, the likes of Simon Jordan have called upon him to fulfil his promise and make a bid.
