Formula One is back after a three week break, as we head to the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for the Belgian Grand Prix.

It could hardly be closer at the top of the F1 Drivers’ Standings as McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri battle for the title.

F1 Championship standings

Hardly anything separates McLaren’s Norris and Piastri at the top of the Drivers’ standings. Piastri is the Championship leader, but back-to-back wins for Norris have narrowed the gap to eight points.

If Norris wins both the sprint and the grand prix this weekend with Piastri in second, we will have a tie at the top of the table.

Below McLaren, who are running away with the Constructors’ title, the battle for second is heating up. Hamilton’s fourth place at Silverstone snatched second in the standings for Ferrari.

Meanwhile, Nico Hulkenberg’s podium brought Kick Sauber up to sixth, an incredible position for the Swiss team, and Red Bull have begun to lose touch with the teams above them due to a string of poor results.
