Thierry Henry has admitted that he would be interested in becoming Arsenal manager in the future.
The Gunners legend is currently working as Belgium’s assistant manager under former Everton boss Roberto Martinez.
Henry was working as a coach at underage level at the north London club for a brief spell before he opted to focus on his Sky Sports duties.
Arsene Wenger is coming under increasing pressure following Arsenal’s 3-0 loss to Premier League leaders Manchester City in the League Cup final on Sunday.
The Gunners are in sixth spot in the Premier League table and 10 points adrift of Tottenham Hotspur, who occupy the final Champions League spot.
Arsenal are facing a difficult game against Serie A giants AC Milan in the Europa League last-16 clash.
Wenger has a contract that will run until the summer of 2019 to prompt speculation about the Frenchman’s long-term future at The Emirates.
Asked during Sky Sport’s coverage whether he would be interested in the Arsenal role in the future, Henry said:
“Interested yes, but I couldn’t talk about that, with my job at Belgium. But who wouldn’t be interested in a job like that.”
Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 when Henry helped to fire the Gunners to a famous unbeaten season.
The north London side have won the FA Cup in three of the past four seasons.
