Arsenal are thought to be on the brink of completing a club-record deal to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

According to reports in England on Monday, the France international has jetted to London to complete a much-anticipated move to Arsenal from Ligue 1 side Lyon.

However, Oulala have released some stats that suggest Arsenal could be making a mistake signing the 26-year-old in the summer transfer window.

Lacazette scored 28 times in the 2016-17 season to underline his reputation as one of Europe’s most-prolific goal-scorers.

Indeed, the French forward netted more goals than Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud last season after the 30-year-old found the net just 12 times last term.

However, while Lacazette scored 14 goals more than Giroud last term, the Arsenal star found the net every 100 minutes in the Premier League last term.

In stark comparison, the 26-year-old scored every 134 minutes in Ligue 1 last season despite his impressive haul of 28 goals.

Oulala’s intriguing stat might provide Arsene Wenger with something to consider before splashing a club-record fee on Lacazette.

Arsenal have only signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer from Bundesliga giants Schalke 04 last month.
