Jose Mourinho has wished Chelsea signing Alvaro Morata good luck at Stamford Bridge.
The Spain international completed a move to Stamford Bridge in a £58m deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid last week.
Morata signed a long-term deal with the Premier League champions after being previously linked with a move to Manchester United.
Indeed, the Red Devils were thought to have made singing Morata their top priority after missing out on Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.
However, Manchester United snapped up Romelu Lukaku in a £75m deal from Everton despite Chelsea being linked with a move to bring the Belgian star back to Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho worked with Morata during his spell in charge at Real Madrid when the striker was a promising youngster coming through the ranks in the Spanish capital.
The Manchester United boss sent a message to Chelsea’s new signing ahead of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.
“That subject is interesting for those of you who are talking and writing about Real Madrid, but not me,” Mourinho told his post-match media conference in Santa Clara on Sunday after Manchester United’s friendly against Real Madrid.
“I do not care. Alvaro is at Chelsea, and I wish him luck and to be happy.”
Mourinho’s side beat Real Madrid 2-1 on penalties on Sunday after a 1-1 draw in normal time in the International Champions Cup clash.
