David Moyes has expressed his delight at seeing Jose Mourinho back at Chelsea following the Portuguese’s return to Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho signed a four-year deal with the Blues last month as he secured a return to the club that he led to six trophies during his first spell in charge between 2004 and 2007.
And Moyes, who officially took over from Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United boss on Monday, is thrilled to see the 50-year-old back in the English top flight.
“I’m really happy to see Jose [Mourinho] back,” Moyes told a news conference on Friday.
“He’s been very successful and he’s someone everyone will enjoy having back in the Premier League.”
The Scot continued: “For the first time there has been a big shake-up in the Premier League and I’m looking forward to being involved in it. There will be improvement from all the clubs.
“I’ve come across [new Manchester City boss Manuel] Pellegrini a couple of times at Villarreal and Malaga.
“It’s the first time there’s been a real shake-up and it will be new to a lot of clubs. There’s a lot of things unknown about how things will pan out.
“Finally, Bill Kenwright has been fantastic over my time at Everton. They’ve got a very good team and players. All I can say is ‘thanks’, they’ve been very good to me.”
