Jamie Redknapp has hailed Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s impact at Manchester United this season.
The Red Devils striker has been impressive in his first season in the Premier League after Ibrahimovic completed a free transfer to Old Trafford last summer.
Ibrahimovic has scored against Everton and Sunderland in his last two Premier League games ahead of Thursday night’s trip to take on Anderlecht in the Europa League last eight.
The 35-year-old centre-forward has now netted 17 times and has also made five assists in 27 games in the English top flight to help Manchester United remain in the race for a top-four finish.
Speaking about Ibrahimovic’s performance in Manchester United’s 3-0 win against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday afternoon, Redknapp told Sky Sports:
“They should give him the man of the match award before the match to save time. He was Manchester United’s best player. How often have we said that?”
