Harry Redknapp believes Tottenham need to sign a striker in the summer transfer window to provide cover for Harry Kane.
The England striker has scored 19 times and has made four assists in 23 appearances in the Premier League this season.
Indeed, Kane has proven a key player for Mauricio Pochettino in the Premier League campaign despite his injury problems.
The 23-year-old striker picked up an ankle problem and missed over a month in September.
The Tottenham man suffered ankle ligament damage in the opening minutes of the north London side’s FA Cup clash against Millwall on 12 March.
Pochettino’s summer signing Vincent Janssen has disappointed throughout the Premier League campaign following his summer move from AZ Alkmaar back in July 2016.
Speaking to BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight show on Saturday, former Spurs boss Redknapp suggested that Pochettino needs to sign cover for Kane in the summer.
“I don’t think Tottenham need to buy too much,” Redknapp said.
“Maybe a bit of cover for Kane, other than that, they have top-class cover everywhere. They’re not short anywhere, it’s just about not selling.”
