An overwhelming number of supporters at Elland Road have been flocking to purchase the club’s new away kit; however, the same number may not be looking for the club’s third kit.
Leeds United announced the release of the club’s new third kit, taking inspiration from the “swirling scarves of fans on a matchday.”
A sea of white, blue, and yellow covers the shirt, modelled by Dan James, Ao Tanaka, and Jayden Bogle, with the unaltered Red Bull sponsor brandished across the middle.
Leeds fans have been vocal about their disdain for the colour red being brandished on the club’s shirts, via the Red Bull logo, due to the club’s historic rivalry with Manchester United.
With the new release here, supporters have already given their thoughts on it on social media.

Leeds United fans and neutrals are divided over third kit announcement
Upon the release of the kit, Leeds fans found themselves divided with neutral football fans over their liking of the new shirt.
One Leeds fan called it “Simply awful. Inspired by city council bus seats more like.”
Another questioned Adidas and their design, saying “This is just dreadful Adidas have clearly run out of ideas.”
However, many neutral fans, including a number of Formula 1 fans, have praised the shirt’s appearance and appear not to share the same disdain as the Leeds supporter base.
One Barcelona fan called it “a work of art.”
A Chelsea fan added: “An incredible design and really out there.”
Whilst this kit may divide sections of the Leeds fanbase and beyond, time will tell whether it is deemed a success either by on-field heroics whilst wearing it or via the amount of money taken by the club when selling it.
It has a big ask to beat the current sales record for a new Leeds shirt; however, with the 2024/25 away kit holding the record of 15,000 sales within the first day, and going on to be the biggest-selling shirt in the club’s history.
How to get the new Adidas Leeds United third kit
The official announcement on the club website has informed fans that they can get their hands on the new third kit from 8am on Friday, 8th August.
This will be available both online and in-store from 8am, with fans able to purchase from Elland Road and two other store locations, Trinity Leeds and the White Rose Centre, or have them delivered directly to their home.
The kit is likely to retail at the same £70 price tag as both the home and away shirts, and fans will be hopeful for more new signings who could take their place on the back of their new shirts for an additional £15.
As Leeds return to the Premier League, excitement is brewing, and this announcement merely takes the fans one step closer to the beginning of the new season.
