Liverpool FC will not be splashing the cash in the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British regional media.
The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Reds will not be spending big this summer despite recent reports linking them with moves for some big names.
The same article says that despite the recent links with moves for the likes of Paulo Dybala and Matthijs De Ligt, Liverpool FC will not invest significant funds in new players this summer.
The story goes on to suggest that both Dybala and De Ligt are likely to be out of reach this summer because of the large transfer fees they would command.
It is claimed in the same report that Jurgen Klopp is “more than happy” with most of his current squad and that a major overhaul this summer is not needed.
Liverpool FC will only look to “fine-tune” their squad rather than make any big-money moves.
The Merseyside outfit are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table, with the Reds currently two points clear of Manchester City having played a game more.
They will return to top-flight action after the international break when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday 31 March.
