Brendan Rodgers gave little away when quizzed about the speculation linking Adam Lallana with a transfer to Liverpool this summer.
Media reports this week have claimed that the Reds have already tabled an offer for the Southampton captain with a view to completing a deal before the start of the World Cup next month.

However, the Liverpool boss remained coy when asked about the Merseyside outfit’s transfer targets for the summer.
“There are a lot of good players out there,” said Rodgers. “Certainly Adam Lallana is a very good young player but I’m not going to tell you who we’re after, so you can respect that.”
Rodgers continued: “The criteria we look for is players with strong technique and football intelligence.
“They need to mentally have the attitude and the capacity to learn. They have to be so hungry to fight for every ball every day in training and in games.”
Rodgers was speaking after Liverpool sealed a 4-0 post-season friendly victory over Shamrock Rovers at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Goals from Iago Aspas, Fabio Borini, Martin Kelly and Jack Dunn secured a comfortable victory for the Reds, who finished two points behind Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend.
