Gary Neville believes Manchester United need to win the Champions League to have a successful 2017-18 season.

Jose Mourinho’s side are sitting six points ahead of fifth-placed Chelsea FC to put the Red Devils in pole position to secure a top-four spot.
However, the 20-time English champions are 13 points adrift of leaders Manchester City, having played one game more than the Citizens.
Manchester United suffered a 2-1 loss to Bristol City in the League Cup quarter-finals back in January.
The Red Devils will face Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup last eight.
Mourinho’s men secured a goalless draw with Sevilla in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash last week.
Former Manchester United defender Neville believes the Red Devils need to win the Champions League to have a successful season season under Mourinho.
Asked during a question and answer session on Twitter what would represent a positive season, Neville wrote: “Win CL”
Manchester United won the Europa League and the League Cup in Mourinho’s first season in charge at Old Trafford in 2016-17.
The Red Devils finished in sixth spot in the table last term.
