Ajax boss Peter Bosz has warned Manchester United that his team are ready to end the Red Devils’ Champions League hopes in next week’s Europa League final.
The Europa League is Manchester United’s last remaining hope of qualifying for next season’s Champions League after the Red Devils dropped down into sixth place in the Premier League table.
Manchester United will take on Ajax in the Europa League final in Stockholm next Wednesday night as they look to try and secure a route into next season’s Champions league.
But Bosz has warned that his Ajax side head into the game full of confidence, fresh from having dumped Ligue 1 side Lyon out in the semi-finals.
Bosz is quoted as saying by Sky Sports: “If I say that this is going to be a normal game now, people will laugh because it really isn’t a normal game at all anymore.
“But my Ajax boys, no matter how young they are, won’t be afraid.
“They have played massive games this season. Come and see a game against Feyenoord. Look what we did against Schalke in the Euro quarter-final (scoring twice with 10 men in the second leg to win 4-3 on aggregate).
“All that experience we take with us to Stockholm.”
