Ray Parlour believes that Arsenal have their strongest squad in years as Arsene Wenger looks to steer the Gunners to their first Premier League title since 2004.
The north London side finished third last season and retained their FA Cup title after falling behind eventual champions Chelsea in the race for the top-flight crown.
I think it’s an excellent squad at the moment

Wenger has already moved to bolster his squad with the signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea this summer, and former Arsenal midfielder Parlour feels that the Gunners are in their best position to challenge for the title in a number of years.
“Yes, definitely [this is Arsenal strongest squad in years],” Parlour told The Sport Review, speaking on behalf of Carlsberg, the Official Beer of the Premier League.
“Last season they had so many injuries and I think they’ve got to look at that next season. But you look at the players they’ve got and it’s a very together squad as well, which is so important. Everyone gets on with each other.

“The hardest thing to do as a manager is to keep everyone happy and keep everyone involved. They all know they’re fighting for places but they also know that the other players are ready to go if they’re needed and if they get the opportunity they’ll try and impress to get in the side.”
Parlour continued: “I think it’s an excellent squad at the moment – I think he [Wenger] knows that as well.
“The good thing about it is that a lot of them are good ages – 25, 26 with a little bit of experience under their belts, but also in a great time of their careers, coming into their primes.
“Exciting times, hopefully for Arsenal fans.”
