Michael Owen is backing Liverpool FC to return to winning ways by claiming a solid victory at Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Reds head into the game on the back of their entertaining 1-1 draw with Arsenal at The Emirates in the Premier League on Saturday night.
James Milner had put Jurgen Klopp’s men ahead in the second half in north London, but Alexandre Lacazette netted a late equalise to leave the Premier League encounter all square.
Liverpool FC have not had long to switch their focus back towards Champions League affairs and their trip to Serbia on Tuesday evening.
The Merseysiders head into the fixture top of Group C and one point clear of Napoli – and they will be hoping to claim three points to take a step closer towards qualification for the last 16.
And former Liverpool FC striker Owen seems to feel confident that the Reds have what it takes to claim all three points on Tuesday night and keep their place at the top of their group.
Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said: “Red Star Belgrade have conceded 10 goals in their last two Champions League ties and lost the reverse fixture 4-0 at Anfield two weeks ago.
“The Reds have scored more goals (48 at an average of three a game) than any other side in the competition since the start of last season and I feel they will maintain their position at the top of the group with a win in Belgrade.”
Liverpool FC have been earning plenty of praise for their solid start to the Premier League season under Klopp.
The Reds remain unbeaten in the English top flight and have won eight and drawn three of their opening 11 games to leave them third and two points behind leaders Manchester City.
