Robbie Savage believes that Arsenal are capable of beating Chelsea to the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners completed their preparation for the forthcoming campaign with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Wembley to lift the Community Shield.
Many are tipping the north London side to be serious top-flight title contenders in 2015-16 as Arsene Wenger looks to lead his side to their first Premier League triumph since 2004.
And BT Sport pundit Savage feels that midfielder Jack Wilshere could prove to be the driving force behind the Gunners’ title bid.
“Yes [Arsenal are title contenders] if you look at their squad,” Savage told The Sport Review, speaking at a BT Sport media event to launch the broadcasters football coverage for the coming season.
“Jack Wilshere and Alexis Sanchez didn’t play yesterday [in the Community Shield].
“Wilshere was brilliant with England over the summer with the two goals that he scored. If they can keep him fit, they have a real opportunity this year.”
