The makers claim that it’s been shown to increase energy and endurance during workouts to help you to get the very most out of your training sessions.
It contains a number of stimulant and non-stimulant ingredients, and promises to give you “immediate strength gains”.
It also claims to be the “best tasting” pre workout supplement.
So, does Alpha Gx7 live up to the marketing hype? Is it as good as it’s cracked up to be.
In this review article, we’re going to take a close look at the supplement by examining the ingredients and checking out the customer reviews, to see if it’s one of the best pre workouts out there right now or not.
So, let’s get cracking and see what Alpha Gx7 is all about.
As you’ve no doubt already guessed, Alpha Gx7 is a pre workout supplement designed to get you performing at your best at the gym.
Pre workouts are becoming more and more popular, as a way to make sure that you’re feeling at your very best while at the gym.
It contains ingredients designed to boost your energy level and increase your strength, so you can get the very most out of your training sessions.
It claims to use only research backed ingredients to help you achieve this.
Let’s crack on with the next section and start looking at the individual ingredients that make up Alpha Gx7 to see how good they are.
After taking a quick look at the label, there are some good things about Alpha Gx7 and also some not so good things.
Let’s start this section by concentrating on the top ingredients in this product.
• Caffeine – One of our top pre workout ingredients and shown to boost energy levels, increase focus and enhance stamina. Our only slight gripe here is that it may contain slightly too much caffeine per serving at 250mg. We generally prefer to see around 150mg of caffeine in a pre workout.
• Citrulline Malate – Another one of our favorite pre workout ingredients. It’s an amino acid extracted from watermelon and we love it because it can dilate your blood vessels to allow more blood to pass through them, leading to amazing muscle pumps. We’d like to see slightly more of this ingredient in Gx7 however, because it only contains 1.5 grams per serving.
• L-Carnitine – Another good ingredient in Alpha Gx7. It’s an extensively researched amino acid which is thought to promote energy while reducing muscle damage. It’s well dosed, at 750mg per serving.
• Beta Alanine – This is a very popular pre workout ingredient and you’ll find it in a lot of supplements. It’s thought to give you a boost during your workouts, but the side effects reported by some people mean that we’re not too sure about it.
There are quite a few other ingredients in Alpha Gx7, check out the full list along with the doses per serving in the chart below:
So, Alpha Gx7 does tick some boxes with some solid ingredients such as Citrulline Malate and Caffeine, but some of our top-rated pre workout ingredients were missing.
Firstly, we were very disappointed to find that there was no creatine on the label. Creatine is well known for his post-workout benefits, but it also has a number of benefits such as the reduction of fatigue and improving hydration. It’s a shame it wasn’t included in this product.
We were also disappointed not to find any L-Theanine on the label. It’s an amino acid extracted from tea leaves and it works brilliantly when combined with caffeine. When combined together, you get the full effects of the caffeine, coupled with a calm focus from the L-Theanine.
There were also a few other things missing, such as Rhodiola Rosea and Coconut water, two of our other favorite pre workout ingredients.
Most pre workout supplements are pretty safe these days, because they tend to only contain natural ingredients.
That being said, there are always a few things to look out for. The main one is stimulant content. Alpha Gx7 contains 250mg of caffeine per serving, which in our opinion is too much.
We generally recommend that a pre workout contain no more than 150mg of caffeine per serving, because people get caffeine from a number of other sources these days, such as coffee and other supplements.
We definitely wouldn’t recommend taking this supplement in the evening.
The only other thing we noticed on the label is Yohimbine HCl, which we read can cause a number of unwanted side effects, such as nausea, headache and dizziness.
Each tub of Alpha Gx7 contains around 30 servings. It’s currently available in three flavors: Watermelon, Cherry and Blue Raspberry.
The label says that you should mix one scoop of Alpha Gx7 into a glass of water and drink it around 30 minutes before starting your training session.
We always recommend to experiment to see how long it takes to ‘kick in; for you, as it tends to vary from person to person.
As we mentioned above, because of the caffeine content, we’d also recommend not taking this product in the evening.
Amazon seems to be one of the only websites selling this product right now, so we took a look at some of the verified customer reviews.
At the time of writing this article, Alpha Gx7 had more than 3,000 reviews on Amazon, with an average rating of 4.6 out of five stars.
One happy customer said they had been training for more than 20 years and after having used many different pre workouts, Alpha Gx7 was their favorite.
Someone else reported that it gave them a nice, steady boost of energy, while another user also said they felt much stronger during their workouts.
However, another user said that they preferred C4 by Cellucor because Alpha Gx7 didn’t do enough for them.
And someone else claimed that the product was simply “below par” when compared to other pre workouts on sale right now.
Not in our opinion. Although Alpha Gx7 does have some good things going for it, it’s also missing a lot of our favorite ingredients. We also found some of the ingredients to be a bit under-dosed, and we don’t like that they use the artificial sweetener Sucralose.

As we always say when discussing supplements, you should first make sure that your diet and training regime is on point.
Although a pre workout can get you fired up in the gym, you’ll still have to put in the hard work, eat well and rest properly.
That being said, a good pre workout can help take your gym sessions to the next level on a regular basis.
So there we have it, our full review of the Alpha Gx7 pre workout. Here are our overall thoughts in summary:
• Some good ingredients
• Good reviews
• Missing Creatine and L-Theanine
• High stimulant content
• Uses the artificial sweetener Sucralose
That wraps up our review of Alpha Gx7. Overall, we think that this is a decent product, but we strongly feel that there are a number of better pre workout products out there right now.
