Feel: This Asics shoe boasts some of the latest running technology. The Impact Guidance System (IGS) enhances the foot’s natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. The Trusstic System reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoes.
Ride: Clutch Counter Exoskeletal heel counter provides improved support and creates improved heel fitting environment. FluidRide provides the ultimate in bounce back and cushioning characterises while being lightweight.

Verdict: The Asic Gel-Nimbus 17 is a very durable running shoe. While it is noticeably heavier than other running shoes previously reviewed, the added weight is a small price to pay of the comfort. The No17 will have no trouble surviving the rigours of outdoor running, but lighter shoes may be preferable in the gym.
