Not just for the rugby pitch, Canterbury training apparel is ideal for running, gym workouts and training.
Their range includes a selection of base layers, t-shirts, compression tops, shorts, pants, hoodys and jackets.
We tried out the VapoDri Poly Logo T-Shirt, the VapoDri Performance Cotton Tee and the VapoDri Woven Run Shorts as we kitted up for the gym.
Here’s what we found.
This is a great T-shirt for gym workouts or training. Like all of the products on this list, it uses VapoDri technology to wick away moisture, boosting evaporation of sweat to help keep you drier and more comfortable.
It has a mesh back which adds more breathability, and the quick drying fabric allows a reduced wash-to-wear time. Even the Canterbury logo printed on the front is perforated for added breathability.

Like the Poly Logo T-Shirt, the VapoDri Performance Cotton Tee is ideal for hitting the gym, even though it’s really been designed with rugby training in mind.
It uses pin hole eyelet fabrication to give enhanced breathability so you can keep your cool, either during training or on a run.
Price: £25.00 from www.canterbury.com
These shorts are brilliant for running. They’re super lightweight and have been made with vented side seams and an anti-static finish.
Something that’s often overlooked in running shorts is the importance of a good pocket to keep your valuables safe. The VapoDri Woven Run Shorts have a great rear zip pocket with lockable zip head for zero distraction.
Price: £23.00 from www.canterbury.com
Overall, we were pretty impressed with this gear from Canterbury, who are traditionally a rugby brand.
All three garments are perfect for the gym or sports training – and the VapoDri Woven Run Short are particularly good running shorts.
