Today we’re going to be reviewing the Cellucor P6 Chrome testosterone booster to see if it is as good as the things we’ve been hearing about it.

So if you’re looking to find out whether P6 Chrome is a supplement worth trying or not, then you’re in the right place.

It’s hard not to take notice when Cellucor add another product to their popular P6 testosterone booster range, so we naturally wanted to find out a bit more about this supplement.

The official website claims that P6 Chrome will help to support healthy testosterone levels while at the same time controlling estrogen levels in your body.

This all sounds pretty good to us, as you probably already know that low testosterone levels can have a range of negative effects on your life, such as decreased muscle mass, energy and libido.

The sole aim of this Cellucor P6 Chrome review is for us to take a detailed look at this product to see whether it will make it onto our list of the very best testosterone boosters on the market right now.

We’re going to take a careful look through the ingredients formula, the servings and the customer reviews to determine where this product stands.

So, let’s now get cracking and start taking a look at Cellucor P6 Chrome in a bit more detail.

What does Cellucor P6 Chrome do?

As we’ve clearly already gathered, Cellucor P6 Chrome is a testosterone booster supplement that’s designed to help give your body more of the natural fuel it needs to produce more of the male hormone.

At the same time, P6 Chrome also claims to be formulated to help regulate the levels of estrogen (the female hormone) in your system.

The marketing material on the official Cellucor website says that this supplement will help you to “amplify your testosterone” and get you feeling back on the top of your game.

It boasts about using five researched ingredients to help support your body’s natural testosterone production process, while at the same time keeping estrogen levels in check.

Keeping estrogen levels low when boosting testosterone is important, because the body responds to elevated testosterone levels by producing more of the female hormone.

The website says that Cellucor P6 Chrome will:

• Support Testosterone
• Promote Lean Muscle
• Support Sexual Function
• Modulate Estrogen

It’s certainly a solid start from P6 Chrome as far as the marketing claims are concerned.

However, we’ve pretty much heard it all before when it comes to the manufacturer claims about health supplements, so we’ve learned to focus on things like the ingredients formula and customer reviews as the real indicators about how good a product really is.

So with the introductions out of the way, let’s now start taking a close look at the actual ingredients formula of Cellucor P6 Chrome to see what this supplement is really made of.

What you need to know about the ingredients

Let’s now look at the actual Cellucor P6 Chrome ingredients label to see what’s in this supplement.

Cellucor P6 Chrome ingredients

As you can see for yourself, P6 Chrome just uses five ingredients to deliver its testosterone boosting effects.

Before we get on to the individual ingredients, we should point out a big negative point – that P6 Chrome uses a proprietary blend.

This means that we’re only told the total dose of the blend rather than the doses of the individual ingredients, and this makes it really tricky to judge the true effectiveness of a supplement.

We always recommend that you stay away from supplements that use proprietary blends, as there’s really no reason for a manufacturer not to disclose their ingredient doses to their customers.

Anyway, let’s now focus on the five main ingredients that Cellucor P6 Chrome does use (even though we don’t know their doses).

• KSM-66 Ashwagandha – This is a branded version of a herb extract called Ashwagandha, which is regularly used in traditional Indian medicine. As well as being able to help combat stress, there have been studies which have shown it to be able to raise testosterone levels in men, so it’s a pretty good inclusion in the Cellucor P6 Chrome formula.

• Tribulus alatus fruit – This is a close relative of Tribulus Terrestris, which is a plant extract that’s popular as a testosterone boosting ingredient. Many of the early T-boosters to hit the market used Tribulus Terrestris as an ingredient. However, recent studies have suggested that it may not be as effective as first hoped when it comes to raising T levels.

• Fenugreek – This is a good ingredient for any testosterone booster supplement. As well as being a rich source of important nutrients such as Magnesium, Zinc and Selenium, Fenugreek has shown promise at being able to support healthy testosterone levels, and also reduce the unwanted conversion of testosterone to something called DHT.

• Agaricus bisporus – Another name for button mushroom extract. Cellucor say that they’ve included this ingredient to inhibit aromatase activity and support healthy estrogen levels. It’s also rich in Vitamin D, which is always a good thing.

• 3-Diindolylmethane – Also known as DIM, this is a nutrient that’s found in large quantities in leafy green vegetables. According to Cellucor, it can help to to modulate estrogen metabolism, which could lead to better and more controlled amounts of estrogen in your system. Still, we would have rather seen a more proven testosterone boosting ingredient used in its place.

What’s missing?

The Cellucor P6 Chrome has a couple of good inclusions such as KSM-66 Ashwagandha and Fenugreek.

However, it’s also missing some of the very best testosterone boosting ingredients around at the moment.

The main omissions are:

• D-Aspartic Acid
• Magnesium and Zinc
• Boron
• Black Pepper Extract

D-Aspartic Acid is one of the best ingredients around at helping to raise testosterone levels. Studies have shown that men who supplemented with it on a daily basis enjoyed significantly increased testosterone levels – and in as little as 12 days.

Magnesium and Zinc are both important nutrients for being able to support healthy testosterone levels. Although Cellucor P6 Chrome does include Fenugreek (which is rich in both), we would have preferred to have seen them included as standalone ingredients.

Boron is another important nutrient for helping to boost testosterone levels, while Black Pepper Extract can improve the absorption of the other ingredients for a more effective supplement.

Are there any Cellucor P6 Chrome side effects?

Generally speaking, the Cellucor P6 Chrome ingredients formula is a relatively safe one, so you shouldn’t have to worry too much about the prospect of suffering from any nasty side effects.

That being said, it’s far from ideal that Cellucor have chosen to mask the ingredients in a proprietary blend, as this means that we don’t know exactly how much of each substance is in each capsules.

We do also always recommend that you do some of your own research for yourself and take a look through the ingredients formula before taking any new supplement for the first time.

How to take Cellucor P6 Chrome

Each bottle of Cellucor P6 Chrome contains 60 capsules, which is a month long supply.

The directions are simple – they say that you should take one serving (two capsules) daily with or without food.

There’s also a warning saying never to take more than two capsules per day.

What are customers saying?

Cellucor P6 Chrome had an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars on the official website, but that’s hardly a surprise.

There were more than 200 Cellucor P6 Chrome reviews on Amazon, and it had an average rating of 3.8 out of 5 stars on there.

One customer claimed that P6 Chrome is the only supplement they’ve ever taken and that it works quite well for them.

However, one more negative review came from someone who said that it did nothing for them and they called it a complete waste of money.

Is this the best testosterone booster?

Not in our opinion. Cellucor P6 Chrome does contain a handful of decent ingredients and it’s made by a reputable company.

However, it falls short of our expectations because it uses a proprietary blend and is also missing some key ingredients such as D-Aspartic Acid and Magnesium and Zinc.

Anything else to consider?

You should never expect miracles with this kind of supplement.

The most important things you can do to get yourself into top shape is to make sure that both your diet and training regime are on point.

Too many people take these kinds of products expecting them to make huge differences. They can make a big difference, but only if they are combined with the right lifestyle choices.

That being said, if you’re already training hard and eating right, then adding a high quality testosterone booster supplement to your daily routine can indeed make a big difference to your results.

Cellucor P6 Chrome review conclusion

So, here we are at the end of our Cellucor P6 Chrome review.

Overall, this product fell quite a way short of our expectations.

It was a real shame that Cellucor decided to use a proprietary blend to mask the ingredient doses, and we were surprised that they omitted some important ingredients such as D-Aspartic Acid.

All in all, there are certainly a few much better products available to you right now if you’re looking for a quality testosterone booster.
